We’re Jesse and Julia Cañas, celebrating over 40 years of marriage and pursuing our farming dream in East Texas since 2019. On our 29+ acre farm, we’ve created a space where nature and wellness thrive together.

We grow and sell a variety of herb plants, specialty mushrooms, and organic compost and mulch. Through our farm, we aim to share our passion for sustainable living and healthy, natural products with the community.

At Live Well Farms, we focus on the link between healthy living and sustainable farming. We grow a variety of fresh, pesticide-free, pollinator-friendly herbs and flowers, along with nutrient-rich mushrooms. Eco-friendly practices guide everything we do.

Meet the Team

Jesse, though not yet retired, is the go-to for maintaining, building, restoring, and fixing everything at LWF. His energy, skills, and positive approach are essential to making our dream a reality.

Julia is passionate about herbs, with experience growing them across the U.S. She's also an Angelina County Master Gardener and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Mascots

At LWF, it's not just the plants that thrive. Our two rescue cats, Buddy and Hot Shot, bring extra charm to the farm. Originally brought in to manage pests, they've embraced farm life by lounging and playing.

Their playful nature reminds us to enjoy the small moments and simple joys of life on the farm.
